Thinking Styles

Why Thinking Styles?

The way in which we think can be influenced by our immediate circumstances or the context within which we find ourselves. The Thinking Styles profile has been designed to identify natural preferences with a work context in mind. It enables a greater understanding of self and others, and therefore enhances both personal and professional relationships.

What results will I achieve?

By experiencing the Thinking Styles profile and learning about the criteria upon which it is based, participants will increase their understanding of self and others and become better able to influence and motivate others. They will increase the impact and effectiveness of communication, improve teamwork and group effectiveness. Included is the significance of the differences of thinking in terms of:

  • Detail consciousness
  • Left / right brain thinking
  • Level of proactivity
  • Decision-making processes
  • Risk-taking
  • Motivation levels
  • Focus of attention

Who is it for?

Literally anyone in business who wants to gain a greater insight into how to predict the behaviour of others and motivate them towards an outcome. Also those who are keen to develop more influential communication skills and teamworking.

How is it structured?

Following completion and processing of the Thinking Styles questionnaire, feedback is given to each participant as to his or her preferred style of processing information and communicating. Through discussion and example, the tutor facilitates exercises that encourage participants to develop a practised ability in demonstrating versatility in communications.
